KongisKing.net Production Diaries Move to DVD
10/14/05, 11:30 am EST - Xoanon
Sadly, we have been asked to remove the first 54 diaries from our site. We were hoping to keep them available for you and all fans to download for free, for all eternity, but such is not the case. I am still immensely proud to have been the host of this ground-breaking insight into the making of what we all hope will be a classic film.
Since day one, our arrangement with Universal has been that they own all rights to these diaries, and we really have no say in what they can and cannot do. We believe its important for you to know that KongisKing.net will not be making any money from the sale of these DVDs, except if you purchase through places like Amazon from a link on our site.
We obviously have mixed feelings about the DVD set being released. On one hand we're sad that much of the great content that has brought such a great group of fans together is no longer in our archives, and on the other it will be really cool to see the first 54 PDs in their full digital glory. The box set and DVD menus are VERY cool.
So what happens to the remaining POST Production Diaries we have online? So far I've heard nothing about this, and we will still get updates from Peter right up until the movie opens (I hope), and Universal has made no request to remove them from the site.
What can you do to help? The only thing I recommend is to follow the links below and order the DVD box set (if you plan on buying it) through our Amazon.com Affiliate Links...at least that way you will be helping to keep our site up and running as it has been for the past year or so.
