Post Production Diary - 18 Weeks To Go
With 18 weeks to go Colin Hanks introduces us to the ADR studio in
Wellywood. As explained in this PPD ADR is the process in which the actors
must record a new audio track over their own performance. Queen of the Geeks
Philippa Boyens makes a rare PPD appearance and gives us more information
about the process. Colin Hanks shows us his many 'breath' lines and we get
some great little scenes from the film featuring Hanks, Jack Black, Thomas
Kretschmann and others! Hold your breath, say 'yup' a few million times and
here we go!

Post Production Diary - Last Day of Pick Ups!
The Last Day of Pick Ups! There is a sense of accomplishment (and
unemployment) among the cast and crew as the last few shots are completed in
New Zealand. Jack Black, Colin Hanks, Adrien Brody and yes Naomi Watts are
all on set to shoot the final scenes. Looks like The Log scene needed
another shot of the boys, and Naomi in her dressing room and in Kong's grasp
was shot, PJ looks like the weight of the world is lifting off his
shoulders! Take a look!

PJ's Kong Novelization Marko writes: A couple of minutes ago I was browsing
through amazon.com and I hit the mark - "The official novelization of the
blockbuster film from Universal Pictures", or in other words: "A
Novelization by Christopher Golden Based on the Motion Picture Screenplay by
Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens". The cover art looks great!

PJ King Kong Game Q&A
You'd be hard pressed to find a film that's more anticipated this winter
than Peter Jackson's upcoming retelling of King Kong. The tragic love story
between an enormous ape from a prehistoric island and the actress he falls
for (eventually in the literal sense) has been a cinematic classic since it
debuted in 1933. Jackson's film aims to offer a new take on the story that
stays true to its roots while expanding on the original film's scope. The
project is a labor of love for the Academy Award-winning filmmaker, who
cites the original film as one of the early inspirations for his moviemaking
career.

KONG HISTORY: King Kong is back. In 2005, writer/director Peter Jackson, the
man responsible for "The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy, will direct a new,
large-scale remake featuring a monstrous computer generated ape to be
created by Jackson's special effects company, WETA Digital. However, Kong's
origins lay long ago, towards the beginning of the last century in fact.
What follows is a history of the great ape's adventures, on both the large
and small screen. This history's films and TV series are the one's that were
widely released.
