Post Production Diary - 32 Weeks To Go!
Ships ahoy! And when talking about the SS Venture, I do mean ships! Alex
Funke, Richard Taylor and Peter Jackson give us the details on the miniature
(and super miniature) SS Venture models. Alex shows us the amazing attention
to detail that are important to making the fake ship look as real as can be.
Richard Taylor rocks the boat...literally, and we get to see some pre-sfx
clips! Take a look!

Playstation Magazine Talks Kong Game
Paul writes: The June 2005 issue of Playstation Magazine (PSM) reveals that
Ubisoft’s Michel Ancel has been tapped to create a King Kong game. Ancel
created the game 'Beyond Good and Evil'. The article goes on to say that
Ubisoft has been giving unlimited access “to every creative aspect of the
film”. Anyone with scans of this article, send them along!

Jackson 'most powerful man in Hollywood'
Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson has been named the most powerful
person in Hollywood. Premiere magazine's June issue says the 43-year-old New
Zealand-born director is one of the few "one man band productions that are
changing the grid of the power structure" in Tinseltown.

KONG HISTORY: King Kong is back. In 2005, writer/director Peter Jackson, the
man responsible for "The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy, will direct a new,
large-scale remake featuring a monstrous computer generated ape to be
created by Jackson's special effects company, WETA Digital. However, Kong's
origins lay long ago, towards the beginning of the last century in fact.
What follows is a history of the great ape's adventures, on both the large
and small screen. This history's films and TV series are the one's that were
widely released.
